Ubuntu not booting, shows a black screen
I have a wubi ubuntu installed from Windows 7. I was having frequent
freeze problems and so tried installing 3.4 kernel. After that it gave
some error messages regarding packages. I restarted the system and
selected Ubuntu. It then shows a black(or brown) screen and login page is
not getting displayed. I want to back up the files in my home/desktop
folder of ubuntu from windows 7. Is there anyway to do that? I tried
ext2explore. But it didn't list any files. If I copy root.disk file and
reinstall wubi, how to recover the folder contents.
